Summary 9. The weather

The very popular topic of conversation in Britain is the weather.
Sixty-five per cent of all the days in Britain are overcast i dull, grey and often cold. The weather is good. When it rains, they say it's too wet.
When it isn't sunny, they say it's too cold. The seasons in Britain are fairly clear;
--> Winter:
December - January - February (it's cold and wet)
--> Spring:
March - April - May (it's starts a bit warmer and there are more sunny days.
--> Summer:
June - July - August (It can be very hot)
--> Autumn:
September - October - November (It's foggy, cold, wet days and the leaves fall from the trees.

Summary 8. Reading

British people like reading. They read books, newspapers and magazines. They also read text messages on mobile phones.
some people read more than 20 books each year.
There are bookshops where you can buy books.
Libraries are very important in schools and universities, because in both you can study and read.
It's very important!
The British Library is one of the world's greatest libraries. The Queen opened it in 1998.

Summary 7. British sports


Millions of people do sporting activity. People spend part of the weekend watching sport-especially football.
The players train every morning. In this session, the head coach worked on passing the ball.
Football is played in schools and as a leisure activity.
It played both girls and boys.
I hate football!
Tennis is another popular sport, especially in the summer.
Other popular sports are golf, swimming, cycling, keep fit and walking. But football is the national sport. Cricket is played between two teams of 11 people.

Summary 6. Animals


People in Britain love animals.
Some animals are in danger of extinction. There are several reasons for this.
In parts of the world, people collect rhino horn for use in medicine.
Elephants tusks carve ornaments for tourists.
Shark's fin soups is a favorite dish in many restaurants.
Chimpanzee and whale meat are popular with some people.
Gorillas, birds and plants live in the rainforests.

The people of Britain, live in houses or flats. The 90% of the population live in towns.
There are two houses joined together.
Lots of people live in flats, especially in big towns and cities.
There are also differences in age.
Some houses are very modern and some are hundreds of years old.
Cottage is the name for a small houses in the country.

Summary 4.Shopping


People in Britain really like shopping.
They often go shopping every day! Many towns have a large shop where you can buy.
There are lots of shopping centres.
There are large shopping centres in Europe, with over 330 different shops.

Summary 3.School in Britain


For most students in Britain, the school day starts between at eight thirty and nine o' clock.
People use many different kinds of transport. They use cars, they walk and they come by bicycle.
The break is after two or three lessons. This is fifteen minutes.
After the lessons there is the lunch.
School ands at theree thirty.

Summary 2. Packed lunch


Most schools in Britain provide hot meals and salads, but many students prefer be packed lunch.
In the packed lunch there are a lot of chocolate, crisps and sandwiches.
One school in England helps students to eat healthy food with the Green Machine.

Summary 1. The Royal Family


The Queen Elizabeth the second is the Queen of England.
The king is the Duke of Edinburg. They've got four children. Their oldes son is Prince of Wales, his name is Charles.
Prince Charles has got two sons: Prince Wiliam and Prince Harry.
The name of the Royal Family is "Windsor". The Queen lives in Buckingham Palace, in London.
